Do You Believe The Right Gospel?

A Thought-Provoking Biblical Study

Understanding The Battlefield

Today, unity among Christians is one of the highest goals. For this reason truth is given a "back seat" or watered down because it tends to offend church members. Saint Paul, who wrote most of the New Testament, didn't disrespect God's Word by preaching things that people wanted to hear so that they would remain loyal to his ministry. He didn't make our modern-day agenda of "church growth" more important than the "truth of the gospel". The purity of the gospel was Paul's life passion. If he needed to confront people to preserve the gospel. . .that's what he did. Saint Peter learned this the hard way when Paul publicly rebuked him for putting the truth of the Gospel in jeopardy (Galatians 2:11-16).

God gave Saint Paul a difficult task. Jesus Christ shed his blood a few years earlier at his Crucifixion. This Divine act ended the age of the Mosaic Law and started something known as "a new and living way". Paul was given the task of preaching "the gospel of Christ" that began a radically new dispensation called "Grace". God designed this new gospel to replace the religious system (and its gospel message) that previously existed under the Mosaic Covenant. However, teachers and religious leaders from the old system constantly opposed Paul and attempted to corrupt his gospel with principles from the previous dispensation of the Law. These "false brethren", as Paul called them, committed the error (as nearly all churches do today) of mixing the former redemptive program of Israel with the new redemptive program (established on Christ's blood) for the Church. The problem is--each of these programs are founded on radically different principles and represent two totally different dispensations. They cannot be mixed. The war still rages under different names today.

The New Covenant of Christ (Paul's gospel) is designed for all races and nations (referred to as "the Gentiles" in the New Testament Scriptures). Yet, the Mosaic Covenant is restricted to only one group--Law abiding Jews. Attempting to bring Gentiles under an exclusively Jewish religious system is the error that Paul constantly fought until the day he died. However, four hundred and fifty years later it is successfully injected into mainstream Christian doctrine by a powerful religious leader named Augustine. This time Paul isn't there to stop it. As a result, this dangerous ideology is subtly embedded in a majority of fundamental church doctrine. It's generally known today as "Replacement Theology". This false religious system is not only mainstream Christian doctrine--but it's also the dominant viewpoint for nearly all modern-day Christian believers. In various forms, it helped lay the foundation for the Jewish Holocaust of WWII. It is now fueling a new wave of anti-Semitism on a world-wide scale never seen before. It's the primary source of false teaching, legalism and divison in modern-day denominations and church organizations.

Replacement theology involves two Biblical battlegrounds. It was first identified by Bible prophecy theologians. Bible prophecy clearly instructs us that Israel and the present New Testament Church are to be treated differently. Each one has a unique role in the last days. Replacement theology "replaces" Israel with the Church. It then reassigns Scripture that is addressed only to Israel--and makes it binding on the Church. It wrongly makes the Church "the New Israel" and generally opposes a literal interpretation of Scripture. If Scripture is interpreted "literally" as God intended--the foundation for Replacement Theology falls apart. Another name for it is "Reformed Theology". The Prophetic Scriptures, which make up over one-third of the Bible, is the first casualty of this attack by reformed theologians. Yet, there's another victim. Replacing Israel with the Church also mixes the dispensation of the Law with the dispensation of Grace. It perverts the Gospel of Christ. Understanding Bible prophecy is vitally important for all believers today. Yet, our study focuses on the beliefs of Replacement Theology, which corrupts authentic New Testament salvation. If this information is of interest to you, prepare yourself as we discover the teachings of the "stealth" war against God's Grace.

Note: Some readers may find this material overwhelming and too detailed. Others may say that it's not detailed enough or that it simply isn't true because it contradicts the teaching of their church. If more detail is added to this study it could discourage many readers. Our faith is being undermined by professional theologians--and many church members are either in the dark, or in total denial. The practice isn't new and it exists in all denominations (and in non-denominational ministries). We're not taking a position against any one group, but rather an ideology that dominates many sections of "Orthodox Christianity".
